Feed Your Mind, Body & Soul in Austin Texas
Below is a great guide (by Local Austinite, Stephanie Bogdanich) for folks moving towards going plant-based in Austin, Texas. I like to eat as close to 100% whole food, plant-based (WFPB) as possible which of course is much easier to make happen at home. But I love to eat out at restaurants as well. I find that most waitstaff tend to be extremely accommodating in fulfilling my requests of hold the cheese, eggs, cow's milk, and meat, (and if I'm really lucky they will limit the oil and salt as well!) Making too big of a deal usually backfires (and embarrasses those I'm dining with who aren't WFPB'd) so I tread slowly and ask kindly :) I make it a priority to create positive vibes around dining with family and friends.
